This EEB response to the public consultation on the EU Economic Governance Framework puts forward key messages how a new framework should be reformed to promote an alternative political-economic system. One that is more resilient, just, and explicitly prioritizes human (and non-human) well-being over economic growth. The current crisis coinciding with the Review of the EU Economic Governance provides a unique opportunity to replace the outdated and harmful SGP with a timely and constructive Sustainability and Wellbeing Pact.
